How the process works:
The process of manufacturing a corrugated product for a Customer can be broken down into the following.
- Enquiry from Customer by phone, email, fax or calling to the Factory and speaking to one of our sales team.
- The specification of the product will depend on the criteria such as the weight of the product going into the Cardboard Box, the environment where the Cardboard Box will be stored (i.e.cold storage, multiple stacked on a pallet etc.) print design if any, type of finish required (.ie. barrier coated, anti static etc), strength and colour of liners used (i.e. Kraft, White etc).
- From this information a prototype design can be drawn on our computer aided design software and cut out on our corrugated sample plotter.
- Once the design has been approved and a Purchase Order has been given, the job can then move to the Production Process.
- On receipt of a Purchase Order and agreement of Terms and Conditions, the Customer will be given an Acknowledgement slip which will have all the relevant order information including a Delivery Date.
- Depending on the style of product either a cutting tool will then be made for a Die Cut, or in the case of a standard 0201 Cardboard Box, the job will be routed to one of our Box Making Machines which will be set up for the production run. Any other items such as stamps or printing stereos will also be purchased on behalf of the Customer.
- At this stage other special works such as hot melt gluing or stapling can also be supplied on site.
- The completed job is then labelled, strapped and shrink wrapped and either stored for collection or dispatched using our dedicated fleet of delivery vehicles. For Customers who have a requirement we can also provide a consignment storage service with call off facility.

Corrugated and the Environment
Pakform is an eco friendly Packaging Company.
Corrugated or Cardboard is made from a natural, renewable resource, is frequently manufactured using high percentages of recycled fibre, is often reused multiple times, and is recycled more than any other packaging material used today.
93% of corrugated boxes are made with material supplied by sustainable forestry.
Corrugated material meets all environmental guidelines and exceeds the spirit of all government and industry mandates based on environmental concerns.
Less is More
Box manufacturers have learnt to make stronger boxes using fewer raw materials. Environmentalists call this source reduction: Using less raw materials and generating less waste at the source. Corrugated packaging also allows significant source reduction by eliminating the need for overwraps and secondary packaging.
Here are some important steps Pakform takes to protect the environment.
- Segregation and recycling of box plant waste products
- Compacting corrugated paper waste that is created during production and sending it to be converted back into cardboard
- Using earth-friendly inks
- Eliminating impact on the ozone layer
- Diminishing waste water
- Meeting health, safety and environmental packaging requirements
- Practicing source reduction
- Using renewable energy providers (Windpower and Biomass)
